The awards, launched on Wednesday at Portcullis House, Westminster, are backed by, among others the Government’s CSR Minister Stephen Timms, the Department of Trade and Industy and media partner PRWeek.
Launching the awards,
IVCA chief executive Wayne Drew said: ‘The concept of truth in business communications has been devalued… but there are some very impressive social programmes now being developed in the business sector’.
The awards, which will take place in the summer of 2004, are split into five categories: communications products, strategic communication, advertising and promotion, the CSR in practice web accessibility award and the IVCA Champions award for outstanding contribution to the communication of CSR. The panel of judges has yet to be confirmed.
