The points-based loyalty scheme, whose rivals include the higher-profile Air Miles, has hired Faye Scullion as PR executive to handle B2B and consumer campaigns in-house.
Upcoming initiatives will promote a new collector brochure, which will launch next week, and the fact that points can now be collected electronically. Buy and Fly! was formerly promoted by The Dovetail Agency, which ceased to represent the programme last month, according to marketing manager Lisa Evans.
Evans said PR was becoming ‘more important’ to Buy and Fly! and that she would consider using Dovetail again for projects. Seventeen airlines, including Singapore Airlines and Air France are partners of Buy and Fly!, which is run by travel promotions firm Landround.
