EADS, the Pan European industrial Group, probably best associated with Airbus, is one of Europe's principal aerospace and defence contractors. EADS announced, "This assignment will mean new communications activities for EADS in 2004. Kreis' predecessor, Roland Sanguinette, will continue to manage the communications activities for EADS."
Patrice Kreis joined L'Aerospatiale in 1981, eventually becoming its director of communications and external relations and a member of its executive committee. In 1998, he became head of communications and a member of EDF (Electricite de France, the French power utility presently undergoing privatisation) and earlier this year, Kreis became the chairman of Edev CPL Technologie, a company experimenting with the development of high-speed Internet on the country's electrical power lines.
