Morello has been hired after a three-way pitch for a range of projects to celebrate the book chain’s history. Account director Sarah Stewart heads a four-strong team and reports to Blackwell’s marketing manager Helen Jones.
‘The focus is on the anniversary year, but we have been hired on a year-long retained agreement,’ said Stewart.
The agency has been initially tasked to promote the Blackwell’s established guest- speaker programme, and is currently raising awareness of satirist author and film-maker Michael Moore, who is to appear at the London Palladium on 9 November.
The agency will also oversee the relaunch of the flagship Blackwell’s store in Edinburgh next year.
