DIARY: PROs not in the picture at the National Gallery

The launch of Citigate Dewe Rogerson's CEO Brand Value Report at the National Portrait Gallery last week gave an interesting insight into the impact of PROs on British life.

Among the portraits of the modern folk the gallery says 'have contributed to British life', only Matthew Freud and Max Clifford can be found. Where is the picture of Lord Chadlington? Or Tim Bell? A spokesman for the gallery says it welcomes suggestions for new subjects and will consider the list PRWeek plans to draw up from readers' views.

PRWeek was also mortified to find it was not in this year's Citigate Dewe Rogerson Who's Who in Business and Financial Journalism. Although What Mortgage and the East Anglian Daily Times both got a look-in, PRWeek and its sister titles Marketing and Revolution did not. Patrick Toyne Sewell, the guide's editor, said it did not include 'any publications that do not specifically focus on the financial sector or business issues'.
