DIARY: Time moves on, but the crises remain the same

'The older you get the better you are at it', claims IPR president elect Anne Gregory.

She is referring to current septuagenarian president John Asprey's lecture tour, 'Communicating under fire', on crisis management. The tour took in the glamorous locations of Singapore, Rome and the University of Huddersfield, where he was full of beans about his time managing the Heinz baby food crisis of 1990.

'He might not be a spring chicken, but he remains Mr Cool', adds Gregory.

'The world might have changed, but a crisis is a crisis.'
