MEDIA: Which? appoints Ross editor of its computing guide

Computing Which?, the bimonthly magazine published by the Consumers' Association, has appointed Jessica Ross as editor.

She replaces Malcolm Coles, who has been made managing editor of Which?, the body's general consumer issue title.

Computing Which? focuses on practical advice, said Ross, a previous editor of the Australian Consumers' Association publication Computer Choice.

'Not everyone is interested in how much RAM their computer has, but lots of people want to send a picture of their new dog to friends,' she said.

'Desktop PCs are the primary focus, although gadgets do come into it.

Digital cameras have a broad appeal, while PDAs have dropped off a bit for the home user. But we are always interested in new developments,' she added.
