Ketchum won a four-way pitch for the consumer PR account formerly held by Cohn & Wolfe, which earlier this month started work for rival brand O2 (PRWeek, 10 October).
Orange UK head of PR, sponsorship and events Niamh Byrne stressed that contracts had not yet been signed, but confirmed Ketchum had won the pitch.
Byrne said Ketchum will promote products and services such as video messaging, which should be available to Orange users before the end of the year.
Byrne also confirmed that Orange is to appoint Financial Dynamics to manage its corporate and financial PR.
FD begins work this week on the account that was resigned by Citigate Dewe Rogerson earlier this year (PRWeek, 20 June). FD won the financial pitch against Tulchan Communications, Finsbury and one other agency.
Orange continues to use Cake, which handles event work across film and music, Edelman on a B2B remit and MacLaurin, which promotes the brand’s literary tie-ups.
