MEDIA BRIEF: Guardian appoints crime correspondent
THE GUARDIAN: Rosie Cowan, Ireland correspondent on The Guardian, has been appointed crime correspondent on the paper. She replaces Nick Hopkins, who has moved to be deputy foreign editor. Cowan joined The Guardian in 2000. Before that, she was Irish political editor and deputy Ireland editor of the Press Association and, prior to that, business editor of the Belfast Telegraph.
