Habitat UK PR manager Liz Butler said Killa was hired after a five-way pitch and will promote four Habitat stores in central London, handling events and ‘partnerships’, as well as media relations.
Butler said the agency would work to ‘improve share-of-voice in an increasingly crowded London market’.
Killa founding partner Richard Lamballe said the agency would ‘work in collaboration with leading talent’, including artists and designers, to develop bespoke in-store events.
Lamballe said Killa’s first initiative is an event titled ‘A Crash Course in Contemporary Art’ at Habitat’s King’s Road store this weekend.
Killa will also promote Habitat’s sponsorship of contemporary art fair Frieze, staged in London’s Regent’s Park later this month.
Butler, who heads a four-strong in-house PR team, joined Habitat 13 months ago from Woolworths.
