Microsoft picks Q4 for its Ireland PR and lobbying

DUBLIN: US-based software giant Microsoft is to launch a fresh wave of PR and lobbying work across Ireland, having dropped Financial Dynamics in favour of start-up Q4.

Q4’s brief is to boost Microsoft’s profile in the Irish national and trade media and ‘build relations with ministers’, according to partner Angie Kinnane, who left Financial Dynamics in June and is leading the account

The agency will also handle a brief that will cover PR around Microsoft Ireland’s involvement with disability charity Enable Ireland.

Kinnane has various reporting lines into the group’s Ireland-based divisions, but is ultimately responsible to Microsoft Ireland head of corporate affairs Terry Landers.

As a director, Kinnane handled the Microsoft account at Financial Dynamics.

Dublin-based Q4 was founded earlier this year (PRWeek, 4 July).
