DIARY: Borkowski PR left buzzing as Firefly staff get a bit too full of themselves

Happy times to report at Borkowski PR, whose staff were this week celebrating a marked pick-up in sales for Firefly, a start-up drinks brand the agency is promoting.

But who should be credited with the sales upturn? No less than Firefly Communications, the PR agency that shares a name with the 'all-natural herbal fruit drink'.

It emerged this week that Firefly (the agency) recently dispatched a staffer to Harvey Nicks - where the drink is exclusively on sale - to snaffle a crate, so agency founder and managing director Claire Walker now boasts a fridge-full of Firefly (the drink).

It is understood that Borkowski staff are delighted to hear that Walker's team are guzzling the stuff, which they consider ironic given that they beat Firefly - among other agencies pitching - in the battle to secure internet service provider Tiscali's consumer PR account last month.
