The yet-to-be-named fortnightly magazine, aimed at ten to 14-year-old girls, is set to be launched later this autumn.
The editorial team have been chosen for their teen publishing experience, said a BBC spokesperson.
Former Lizzie launch editor Julie Bradley has joined as deputy editor to former J17 editor Mink Kapferer, whose appointment as editor of Project April was announced last month (PRWeek, 15 August).
Bradley was previously A-list editor of Sky magazine and celebrity editor at Looks.
The title's fashion and beauty editor will be Angela Robinson, who formerly worked as deputy fashion editor on J17, prior to which she worked on bliss.
Feature writers on the magazine, which aims to rival Emap's Sneak, will be former Sugar features writer and film editor Alice Braham and former freelance writer Rhona Mercer.
