DIARY: C&W tries to tempt Blaine out of box with pizza

Cohn & Wolfe chose a novel venue for an agency bash last week, with partygoers convening on the upper walkways of London's Tower Bridge.

The venue handed C&W staff the chance of a peek at David Blaine, the American illusionist ensconced in a Perspex box next to the bridge, with those C&W staff on the Domino's Pizza account suitably inspired to cook up a Blaine-related PR scam.

Inspired by reports that Blaine - who is attempting to go 44 days without food - had been bombarded with detritus such as golf balls and eggs, C&W's team decided the illusionist deserved nothing less than a Domino's Pizza.

Starting at 1pm and 6pm daily last weekend, Domino's delivery drivers were dispatching pizzas to Blaine in a bid to tempt him down.

As PRWeek went to press, Blaine remained characteristically unmoved.
