The South Korean firm, which is currently the fifth largest mobile handset manufacturer in the world, is seeking to use the launch to significantly boost sales in the UK. Currently, its largest handset markets are in India and the US.
Herald director Hannah Shepherd will be heading the campaign for the 2.5G handsets, which the company is planning to launch before the end of the year. She reports to LG UK marketing general manager Nigel Couzens.
The appointment marks an extension to Herald’s work for LG, as the agency already handles the company’s corporate branding.
