MEDIA BRIEF: Ben Hall appointed by the Financial Times

FINANCIAL TIMES: Ben Hall has been appointed political correspondent of the Financial Times. He replaces Krishna Guham, who is leaving to study at Harvard University. Hall joined the paper in 2000, before which he was research director of the Centre for European Reform, the Westminster think-tank. Elsewhere on the paper, William Hall has been made Northern correspondent. He will be based in Manchester, reporting to UK affairs editor Roger Blitz. Hall has been at the FT for almost 30 years.
