Media House has PR brief on stolen da Vinci painting

The Duke of Buccleuch has brought in Scottish PR agency Media House to handle PR surrounding the theft of Leonardo da Vinci’s Madonna with the Yarnwinder from his Drumlanrig Castle last week.

The agency is handling all press conferences and media enquiries for the Duke, with the account being headed by Media House executive director Ramsey Smith, who is working from offices on the Duke’s Drumlanrig estate, with support from Media House’s Glasgow and Edinburgh bases.

The agency is also working closely with Dumfries and Galloway Constabulary and the underwriters Lloyds.

The picture is believed to be worth between £30m and £60m and has been in the Duke’s family for 250 years.
