The contract’s current holder is Manchester-based Communique Public Relations. The trust, which has no in-house function, would not disclose whether the firm was pitching for the new contract, which will run for between three and five years.
Sue Endean, deputy director of human resources at the trust, said the contract would require an on-site presence with 24-hour cover for crisis management in the event of a major incident.
The newly appointed firm will report to Endean in the human resources department.
