The new position was created to integrate the communications of British Council offices across the country, she said. Current work includes the sponsorship in Sao Paulo of a UK architecture exhibition, and a Fay Godwin photograph retrospective in Brasilia. A mission of education secretaries from seven Brazilian states will travel to the UK this autumn to discuss partnerships in education programmes.
