Eight out of ten PR graduates get full-time job

At least eight out of ten PR graduates from the class of 2002 have found work in the industry, according to a survey by the Institute of Public Relations.

The survey, called First Destinations for IPR Graduates, has revealed that 84 per cent of students who graduated from IPR-accredited courses last year now had jobs in PR.

Of those who found work 40 per cent were working in-house and 33 per cent in consultancy. A further 27 per cent did not specify which sector of PR they were working in.

The survey also showed that PR is likely to remain a profession largely dominated by women. Only 22 per cent of the graduates who responded were men.
