The Radio 4 series Absolute Power, in which Stephan Fry and John Bird play PR consultants Charles Prentiss and Martin McCabe, is set to make the switch to TV.
The move was announced as part of BBC Two's autumn schedule, and is being touted as Drop the Dead Donkey for the PR industry.
But as the main characters on the radio version specialise in political consultancy, one wonders if this is set to present PROs more as Alan B'stard than Damien Day.
A BBC spokeswoman said: 'It'll be somewhere between the two', adding, 'but you must remember it is a comedy.'
Although remaining tight-lipped regarding the script, which has been written by Mark Lawson and Andy Rattenbury, she did reveal that Prentiss and McCabe are set to attempt a career changing move into celebrity PR for the TV version.
A combination of Day, B'stard and Ab Fab's Edina Monsoon sounds truly horrific, but great viewing.
