DIARY: Calibre of Wizard's celebs is less than magical

PR firm Image Wizard last week drew a distinctly average batch of 'celebs' to the PR launch for a karaoke toy.

Has-beens and almost-rans at the event - held at Home House to promote computer-based karaoke product Pop Idol Talent Box - included Pop Idol rejects Chinwe and Chidi, (who?), as well as ex-Big Brother housemate Stuart Hosking and the ubiquitous 'Nasty' Nick Bateman.

Those bold enough to sing included Big Brother Four rejects Justine and Sissy, belting out Kylie's Can't Get You Out of My Head. Brookside actress-turned-singer Jennifer Ellison sang Atomic Kitten's 'It's OK,' together with the one bona fide celeb present, DJ Neil Fox.

Snooker player Jimmy White declined to sing, but deserves credit for attending.

Even Image Wizard account manager Jo Murphy concedes the guest list was hardly of Posh and Becks calibre: 'Other celebs (or, not quite! included:) ...' she writes. Doh!
