DIARY: Charity release takes neutral view on study

The Prostate Cancer Charity's PR team moved quickly last week to rule out fresh PR work to encourage young men to masturbate more often.

The charity released a statement following the publication of Australian research claiming that men who masturbate more frequently between the ages of 20 and 50 are less likely to develop the cancer.

Charity head of policy and research Dr Chris Hiley said it was 'plausible', but added: 'I don't see good evidence for new health promotion advice here'.
