MEDIA: IPC extends reach with its new digital photography mag

IPC Country and Leisure is to beef up its presence in the digital photography market with the launch of its second monthly title Better Digital Photography.

The publisher, which already produces What Digital Camera, is aiming the title at the entry-level market, following two one-off editions of the magazine over the last two years, which sold around 25,000 each.

The title will be edited by What Digital Camera editor Nigel Atherton, alongside new deputy editor Cliff Smith, who joined last week from Paragon Publishing's Digital Photography Made Easy.

IPC photography titles publisher Alex Robb said: 'It's a booming market. We are looking to put together something that is more accessible, more visual and motivational for new entrants into the sector.'
