Kate Nicholas, editor for five years, has been promoted to editor-in-chief, with a brief to develop the magazine and find new opportunities for PRWeek in areas such as online and live events, as well as in print. She retains responsibility for the editorial direction of the magazine, and will be a regular contributor.
Day-to-day editing is now the role of executive editor Gidon Freeman, deputy editor since January. He joined in 1999 and has been a reporter and news editor. He will oversee all aspects of the printed title as well as being involved in spin-off activities.
The moves follow the hire of Stephanie Roberts as features editor in April.
