Manufacturers, growers, suppliers and retailers will be targeted by editorial content in the title, which is to be produced by newly formed independent company Seven Publishing.
Seven MD Seamus Geoghegan said: 'Editorially, our proposition is broader than just trying recipes. We want to reflect what people are buying and eating. People like to eat out more now, there is more of a middle market.'
The title will be in competition with BBC Good Food magazine, which sells 342,300 copies. Delicious is aiming for a circulation of 100,000, although the BBC is to launch a second food title, codenamed Project Olive, later this year.
Delicious is already produced in Australia by Federal Publishing Company, but Geoghegan insisted the UK monthly would be written by a separate UK editorial team.
