Audi’s consumer work to promote giant dealership

Car manufacturer Audi is to launch a fresh PR offensive in Scotland, with the opening of the world’s largest Audi dealership next year in Glasgow.

Clayton Graham Communications has been drafted in to handle the consumer campaign, publicising Lomond Audi’s move from its city centre location to the out-of-town site at Braehead business park.

The new £15m, five acre development, billed as an ‘Audi experience’, is five times the size of the dealer’s current location, and is expected to house a kindergarten, restaurant, museum and conference centre, as well as extensive car showrooms. It is the first of five such centres the manufacturer is planning for the UK.

Clayton Graham is responsible for media and customer relations in the build-up to the move. It has commissioned a news section on Lomond Audi’s website devoted to Braehead and plans to hold fashion shows, art exhibitions and premieres of short films at the site after the company moves there in June 2004.
