Alcatel picks Ketchum Estrategia for media relations

Alcatel has chosen Ketchum Estrategia to take care of its Brazilian PR.

Ketchum pitched against three other agencies according to Vania Gracio, the agency's technology director.

Melissa Sayon will be directly responsible for the account, along with Luisa Pinheiro, who was appointed to work with Sayon. They report to Alcatel communications director Haruhi Ishihara, and communications manager Fernanda Mori.

Ketchum Planning Process, the agency's world PR planning tool played a key role in Alcatel's decision, according to Gracio, who said that Ketchum would provide media relations and media training services.
