Among other award winners announced at a gala dinner in London were Woolworths, for Outstanding Achievement by an In-house Team in the commercial sector, and the WWF for the same award in the non-profit sector.
FH picked up the award following a year in which the firm handled difficult accounts such as the congestion charge in London and Enron’s administrator, PriceWaterhouse Coopers.
Woolworths were praised for trebling media coverage on reduced budgets and with less external support. The brand was also judged to have been taken up market without alienating its traditional support.
Among the achievements of the WWF was a wildlife trade campaign which succeeded in getting Parliament to increase the penalties for wildlife crime.
