Esprit brings in PR support to bolster its UK brand profile

Clothing and accessory brand Esprit has hired Halpern to promote its womenswear and celebrity associations.

Halpern starts work on 1 July following a three-way pitch. It is the first time Esprit has retained external PR support in the UK.

The agency will have a womenswear media relations team, along with a celebrity and social team, totalling five people working on the account.

The brand, listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, with its European headquarters in Germany, is attempting to build its profile in the UK .

The initial focus will be intensive media relations, promoting core lines and informal celebrity endorsements of key pieces.

The agency will attempt to create ‘must-have’ products through informal celebrity associations.
