The agency won the account following a limited pitch, which saw the firm approach several other agencies. The account runs until the end of September.
The campaign focuses on the firm’s own-branded products, targeting the ‘enthusiastic traveller market’.
That includes the firm’s successful core range Spark, and the Freestyle range, which targets the male audience.
The agency has also been tasked with establishing the firm’s more youth-oriented casual bag brand Trunk & Co, and driving coverage on its Lacoste Leather Goods Collection, capitalising on the current renaissance of the brand.
This is the first time Samsonite UK has retained a PR agency since taking its work in-house, following a dip in the travel market after September 11. The firm previously used Nelson Bostock Communications.
