The appointment follows DHL parent firm Deutsche Post World Net's decision last October to rebrand its parcel, express and logistics business globally.
DHL now comprises three divisions: DHL Express, DHL Danzas Air & Ocean and DHL Solutions.
The rebrand campaign has already targeted major newspapers and trade publications in Australia and New Zealand, and selected Asian countries are to be targeted in the coming months.
WS Sydney general manager Ian Rumsby heads a three-strong account team, reporting to DHL marketing manager (Oceania) Duncan Gates.
