Lansons replaces HC to promote RBS credit card brands

The Royal Bank of Scotland has hired Lansons Communications in place of Harrison Cowley to promote its credit card brands.

Lansons, which won the contract after a four-way pitch in May, started work earlier this month on a campaign that sees it promoting RBS’s credit cards in the personal finance and mainstream consumer media.

The agency will promote the cards available under the company’s RBS, NatWest and Advanta brands.

Harrison Cowley handled the remit for three years, and head of communications for RBS’s cards business Fiona Gaze-Fitzgibbon said the review had taken place as part of the company’s policy to periodically ‘review supplier relationships’.

Gaze-Fitzgibbon said Lansons – for whom board director Tamsin Martle leads a five-strong account team – would handle media relations for various upcoming projects.
