PRCA strengthens board as a raft of agency heads join

The PRCA has appointed four new directors to its board, replacing four executives who left over the course of the past year.

The move comes only a month after Kaizo CEO Crispin Manners – whose father Norman Manners co-founded the PRCA 30 years ago – took on the role of vice-chairman of the organisation (PRWeek, 21 May).

The four new directors appointed to the board are Harrison Cowley chairman and CEO David Heal, Golin/Harris Weber joint MD Barry Legetter, Hill & Knowlton chairman David McLaren and Edelman chief executive James Thellusson.

The total number of board members remains 24, according to PRCA comms director Martin Cairns, as the number of positions on the board has not been expanded.

Among those being replaced are Mason Williams joint managing director John Williams and JBP director Linda Taylor, both of whom left at the end of their tenures.

None of the new directors will hold additional committee roles.

The board changes also coincide with the naming of a raft of agencies that have signed up to become PRCA members.

They are Aurelia PR, Counsel, Eulogy!, Haygarth, Hotwire PR, The Partners Group, Penrose Financial, Radiator PR and SCPR.
