DIARY: easyJet uses complaint to beat Beckham's team at its own charity game

No-frills airline easyJet's PR team is attempting to turn an apparent image-rights blunder into a promotional triumph.

Its latest ad campaign used - without permission - an image of David Beckham sporting his ridiculous 'corn-rows' haircut and the slogan 'hair today, gone tomorrow'.

Becks' advisers, Clear Channel/SFX, were not amused, firing off a stern letter requesting easyJet donate £10,000 to charity. easyJet responded by saying they would be delighted to cough up - if Becks matched their amount.
