Outside takes Big Brother aftercare publicity account

Channel 4 has again turned to The Outside Organisation to handle ‘aftercare’ for participants in reality TV show Big Brother, the fourth series of which is due to start tonight (Friday).

Outside senior account manager Paul Berry said the agency, which has handled contestant aftercare for the past two years, would ‘look after’ evicted housemates for an initial two-week period, after which they were likely to ‘return to their lives’ or be snapped up by agents.

Berry, who heads a ten-strong account team alongside Bryony Watts, said: ‘We will talk housemates through media requests and ensure what happens in the house reflects well on them when they come out’.

Publicity for the show itself will be handled in-house by a PR team headed by group publicity manager (factual entertainment) Loretta de Souza.
