SEC Newgate UK has been hired by FTSE 250-listed private equity trust Abrdn (formerly known as Standard Life Aberdeen). The brief is to provide an integrated communications programme that will include messaging and strategy, brand development, content development, media engagement, and financial comms support.

WPP-owned financial PR specialist Buchanan has been appointed on a retainer to provide PR and financial comms advice to Oracle Power, the developer of green hydrogen. 

Finn Partners has been appointed by Visit Jersey to lead its PR and communications in the UK. The agency said it will use creative storytelling, thought leadership, and proactive and reactive communications to grow brand awareness amongst travellers.

The Decker/Royal Agency - the travel, hospitality, and tourism PR specialist - has been appointed by Tourism Fiji following a competitive pitch. Tourism Fiji will be represented by Decker/Royal’s London-based UK PR team.

Youth marketing agency We Are Rocket has selected Manchester’s Big Bang PR. The focus will be on building the profiles of Rocket’s senior team through thought leadership and profiling.

The resort City of Dreams Mediterranean has appointed Platform 195, following a competitive pitch, as its retained communications agency.

Rocky Mountaineer, the luxury tourist train company, has appointed KBC PR & Marketing as its UK PR agency. KBC will be responsible for securing coverage in consumer and travel trade media in the UK to amplify the Rocky Mountaineer brand.

B2B specialist Fox Agency has been appointed by GKN PM to deliver a launch campaign for the global electrified vehicles (EV) market. The campaign scope includes research and strategy, proposition and creative, global PR and communications, web content, organic social, paid search and social, digital display and trade advertising, and sales enablement.

Higginson Strategy has been hired by Design Lab, the design coach practice based in Waterford, Ireland. The brief includes media relations alongside brand development.

Property communications consultancy Property House Marketing (PHM) has been selected to handle PR and social media for four new clients: rental property firm Leaf Living, housebuilder Pye Homes, construction company Blu-3, and care provider Hartford Care.

Manchester-based PR and marketing agency Scoop has expanded its F&B and hospitality roster with three wins. Scoop was appointed by The Adventure Bar Group & Nightcap Plc to introduce its Tonight Josephine brand to Liverpool. Also joining Scoop’s hospitality roster is Exhibition, a multi-kitchen restaurant, bar, and entertainment concept; and bowling alley King Pins
