She leaves at the end of this month, having joined HP during its merger with rival Compaq, where she had been V-P of corporate communications.
HP director of corporate media relations Tim Marklein confirmed Hart’s impending move, but declined to give reasons for her departure and remained tight-lipped on replacement plans.
Hart helped oversee HP’s global PR review, launched after the merger in order to consolidate more than 50 firms to just three.
The group finally selected Hill & Knowlton, Porter Novelli and Burson-Marsteller.
In December, HP also altered its senior communications team. Mike Winkler, former executive vice-president of worldwide operations, was named HP’s first chief marketing officer.
