MEDIA BRIEF: BBC Magazines to launch junior version
TOP GEAR: BBC Magazines is to launch a one-off junior version of its motoring magazine Top Gear. The 40-page publication, entitled Top Gear Turbo, will target 8 to 12-year-old boys and will include features from both the adult version of the magazine and the TV show.
Top Gear publisher Adam Waddell said the younger version had been launched as market research had highlighted a 'significant' number of children were buying Top Gear. If successful, the magazine, which has been produced in association with Scaletrix and launches on 23 May, will become a regular title.
