MEDIA: New lifestyle mag for men banks on celebrity fathers

FQ, a magazine aimed at men who are tired of lads mags, is to launch later this month.

Published quarterly by 3 Dimensional Media and edited by Claire O'Reilly, FQ will target 25 to 42-year old family-oriented men.

The first issue, out on 29 May, contains an interview with David Beckham.

Publisher Damion Queva said more celebrities would be featured to emphasise what he called the 'daddy cool' aspect of fatherhood.

He added: 'There are so many people like this out there, like Jamie Oliver and Jude Law. There has never been a magazine reflecting the family man.'

FQ is positioning itself as a lifestyle magazine, which means PROs could access the title with information on relevant products.
