Carat marketing director Jenny Biggam said the group had hired Braben on an initial project basis.
The work will involve promoting a series of business initiatives, to be revealed later this year.
Braben operations director Vicky Hurley said the agency would tie in these initiatives to ‘issues affecting the industry’.
Although the work will have a PR focus, it will also involve direct marketing and event management.
Biggam said details of the business initiatives are being kept under wraps due to ‘commercial sensitivity’.
She added: ‘Because we have grown as a business into new areas, we want to make sure that clients and prospective clients are aware of the new strategic offers as well as our core business.’
