DIARY: Hail to the chief as MD Bostock gets to grips with taxing Zingo role

It's a long-time industry criticism that agencies roll out the top dogs for pitches and then let account execs handle the day-to-day work on the account.

But Nelson Bostock Communications joint-MD Martin Bostock was called on to prove the exception to the rule last week, in a fairly naff stunt to promote a client - taxi-hailing service Zingo.

The agency had organised a photocall to depict changes in taxi travel over the past 350 years, but a model hired to play a '1940s taxi-hailer' dropped out at the last minute. In stepped Bostock.

After what was his first-ever 'modelling assignment', Bostock says he won't be giving up the day job just yet - the account team could be heard hailing the announcement with a chorus of approval.
