Ruder Finn to run PR campaign for health awareness

Ruder Finn has been drafted in to promote a campaign to encourage patients to take an active role in their wellbeing by discussing their medicines with healthcare professionals.

Ruder Finn won a five-way pitch held for the contract, which involves promoting the UK-wide Ask About Medicines Week in October.

The event is co-ordinated by Promoting Excellence in Consumer Medicines Information, along with the DoH-sponsored Medicines Partnership and the Doctor-Patient Partnership.

Ask About Medicines Week project director Kristin McCarthy said: ‘There is still a comms gap between health professionals and patients when medicines are prescribed or bought over the counter.’

Ruder Finn consultant Esme Newton Dunn runs the account along with MD John Preston.
