Hindle, who retired from P&G last month after 32 years with the consumer goods giant, will work with F-H staff and clients throughout Europe.
At P&G, he most recently acted as global director of external relations for the group’s fabric and home care business unit.
He said his role will be to specialise in areas including issues and crisis management, environmental affairs and corporate social responsibility.
‘Having worked for a major consumer goods company I will be able to help them both with how to approach clients in terms of understanding their needs and the issues that they face in the marketplace,’ added Hindle.
Hill & Knowlton director Mary Whenman has been appointed F-H head of issues and reputation management.
