Swiss to bring PR expert on board in senior staff move

BASEL: Switzerland’s revamped national airline Swiss – rebranded last year after the then Swissair filed for bankruptcy – is set to appoint a communications expert to the board following a senior staff reshuffle.

The group is proposing a new nine-strong board of directors be approved at its annual general meeting next week, and is planning to appoint PRO Walter Bosch to the board as one of two new members.

Bosch, a former journalist of some 20 years standing, will join the airline’s board after having spent five years acting as a freelance PRO and corporate communications adviser.

He co-founded marcoms agency Bosch and Butz in 1987 before selling the firm to the Interpublic Group five years ago.

Swiss – which is based in Basel – is reducing the board from its current membership of 11 to nine, as part of the overhaul.
