MEDIA BRIEF: Accountancy revamped

ACCOUNTANCY: The monthly magazine for chartered accountants, Accountancy, has been revamped to reflect what it claims is its readership's changing role. Scandals such as Enron and Worldcom, along with changes to working practices, have put accountants into a more prominent role in business, according to editor Chris Quick. A new analysis section will highlight economic trends and management issues. There will also be sections dedicated to financial reporting, tax, law and technology and a section called Personal File on careers and workplace issues.
