Fellowes appoints Herald for Europe and UK product PR

Herald Communications is to launch a consumer and B2B PR drive for US-based technology accessories firm Fellowes across the UK and most of western Europe.

The agency - which was hired after a two-way pitch against Hotwire in January - replaces Altrincham-based BDB, which had worked for Fellowes for two years.

Herald - which is understood to be receiving fees in excess of £200,000 for the rolling contract - will promote products such as shredders, mobile accessories and products marketed by Fellowes under license from lifestyle brand Body Glove.

Herald consumer tech practice head Hannah Shepherd will co-ordinate the account from London, reporting to Fellowes European PR and promotions manager Julie Abbott.

Herald will also promote Fellowes in France, Germany and the Benelux countries, via its own offices and the Amsterdam office of its parent company, Fleishman-Hillard.
