The agency won the account after a competitive pitch and replaces three-year incumbent Countrywide Porter Novelli.
For the first time, the campaign will concentrate on promoting practical ways in which consumers can save energy. Previous efforts by the body, set up to promote energy efficiency in homes and businesses, have been to raise general awareness of the issue of energy efficiency.
The trust's energy efficiency PR manager Wahida Ashiq said: 'We feel that (aim) has been broadly achieved. What we need to do now is a new phase of getting the information out there about what practical things they can do.'
The trust's recent campaigns have included promoting artists' impressions of the potential effect of climate change on UK landmarks.
