Kaizo to buy Beer Davies in drive to boost creative PR

Kaizo was this week set to seal a deal to buy PR agency Beer Davies.

Kaizo chief executive Crispin Manners said a deal, which is understood to be funded by a mixture of cash and equity, would enable his agency to 'penetrate the consumer arena and become more creative'.

Beer Davies founding partner Eugen Beer, who will become creative director at Kaizo, said the deal would enable his agency - to be subsumed into an entity called 'Kaizo: incorporating Beer Davies' - to pitch for work on a more equal footing with larger agencies.

Of Beer Davies's seven staff, just three are to join Kaizo, with the other four - including partner Eddie Blower - leaving to 'pursue other opportunities', according to Beer.
