NEW YORK: SiriusXM has hired Jessica Casano-Antonellis as SVP and head of communications.

Reporting to Denise Karkos, CMO, Casano-Antonellis will manage the company's comms efforts, including strategic communications, brand reputation management and media relations.

Casano-Antonellis will replace Patrick Reilly, former SVP of corporate comms and PR, who is planning to leave SiriusXM after 17 years, the company said in a statement. Reilly will remain at the company through July, managing the transition in a consultant role.

SiriusXM declined additional comment.

Most recently, Casano-Antonellis was VP of comms at Disney, overseeing global comms strategies for Hulu and Disney+. She also helped the company launch Disney+ in 2019 and ESPN+ in 2018. Prior to Disney, Casano-Antonellis was global director of comms at Vimeo.

Chief corporate affairs officer and senior EVP Geoff Morrell recently left Walt Disney after just three months, handing over the top communications role at the company to Kristina Schake amid fallout over Disney’s reaction to Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law. Morell had replaced longtime top Disney communications executive Zenia Mucha, who left the company at the end of last year.

In 2016, Casano-Antonellis was part of PRWeek’s 40 Under 40 class.
